Here are a few conventional conveying options along with some innovative methods to transfer your material efficiently.

Redler En-Masse Conveyors

These original trademark Redler conveyors move material horizontally and vertically in one conveyor.  En-masse conveyors can also easily convey materials straight up.

A popular choice for coal, chemicals, minerals, wood chips and many other materials, they are also available as a dust-tight multiple inlet or discharge distribution conveyor such as on top of a group of silos.

Ash Handling

Submerged and totally enclosed chain conveyor ash handling systems are safe, effective, reliable and performance proven. They have installed complete ash handling systems for power plants, pulp and paper mills, waste-to-energy plants, etc.

Belt Conveyors

Belt conveyors are available in the following formats:

  • Troughed idler conveyors
  • Slider back conveyors
  • En-masse
  • Cleated

This fold-over belt conveyor conveys material en-masse over rough terrain and at steep angles.  Material inside the belt is protected and dust is prevented from escaping.

Belt Scales

This manufacturer has received a Certificate of Conformance (CC) covering their Model NAR 4 and 6 idler Belt Scales for applications on conveyor belts of 18 to 96 inches wide, operating at belt speeds between 100 and 1000 ft/min, under loading of 34 to 340 lb/ft, at flow rates of 102 to 10,200 T/hr. The Model NAR family uses their “graded sensitivity” weighbridge. It is particularly well suited for applications involving high belt speeds (>600 fpm) and steep inclines (>12 deg.).

"Quarry King" Belt Scale is designed for inventory control and totalization. The weighbridge of this single idler belt scale features exclusive rocking flexure suspension in the approach configuration. Weight sensing is sensitive, deflection is low and the scale is isolated from error-inducing effects of uneven belt tracking, overloading, belt lifting, and other common conditions.

Throwers and Ship Trimmers

Throwers are a lower-cost solution to building a pile quickly.

Ship trimmer available in several styles and sizes. Ship trimmers are intended to provide even loading inside a ship's hold.

Roller Conveyors

Roller Conveyors are used as a method of separation of green iron ore pellets, rejecting undersize and oversize pellets. Roll spacing allows fines to sift through, leaving uniform pellets to continue through the process. Gentle handling by the roller conveyor maintains the integrity of the soft green pellets.

Drag Chain Conveyors

Chain conveyors provide a durable method to transfer large amounts of coarse material efficiently.  Consider single or multi-strand chains with wings or flight bars to increase conveying capacity.

Continuous path Conveying

Continuous path conveying can solve problems by going around obstacles, elevating at angles up to 45 degrees, eliminating transfer points and reducing overall power consumption.  Controls are simplified and elevation rises can be reduced.

Screw conveyors are available in standard and custom configurations, open trough or totally closed.  They also provide a simple method to incorporate multiple inlets or discharges.

Bucket Elevators

Centrifugal bucket elevators are most commonly used to convey all free-flowing, powdered bulk solids such as grains, animal feed, sand, minerals, sugar, aggregates, chemicals and more. They operate at high speeds, which throw the materials out the buckets into discharge throats by centrifugal force. Continuous bucket elevators are used to handle friable, fragile materials because they minimize product damage or are used to handle light fluffy materials where aeration of the product must be avoided. Continuous bucket elevators have buckets spaced continuously and operate at slower speeds.

Vertical Conveyors

Here is a relatively new but proven technology originating from "down under" that is making waves around the globe.  A central screw remains stationary while the outer casing revolves at a fixed or variable speed.  Advantages include total material containment, reduction in the potential for fires or explosions, cleanliness, very low-maintenance and accurate metering in combination with elevating the material.

A simple and effective method to raise powdered or granular materials is the Omni inclined belt conveyor.  Finger pockets in the belt surface provide a positive traction transfer of various materials.
